Chichicastenango is the largest open-air market in all of Central America.
Market day is im-press-ive. It’s every Thursday and Sunday from about 9am to 3pm all year long.
It is not just a tourist shopping destination, it is the epicenter of indigenous culture, traditions and history in the region.

Chichicastenango tiene el mercado típico más grande de toda Centroamérica.
El mercado es realmente im-presion-ante. Está abierto desde las 9am a 3pm todos los jueves y domingos durante todo el año.
No es solamente un lugar turístico, es uno de los centros más importantes para la cultura, la tradición y la historia indígena de la región entera.
